Lienholder Complaint Form

Complete and submit this form to file a complaint of a Lienholder’s failure to comply with Lien Release requirements.

The purpose of this form is to report a lienholder’s violation of K.S.A. 8-1,157(a) for failure to release a lien (and title when applicable) upon full payment and satisfaction of the lien. If the payment in satisfaction of the lien is in cash, intra-bank transfer of funds or wired funds, the lienholder shall fully execute a release of lien and shall mail or deliver such release as directed by the person who requested the release within three (3) business days after receipt of such payment. If the payment in satisfaction is a payment type other than cash, intra-bank transfer of funds or wired funds, the lienholder shall fully execute a release of lien and shall mail or deliver such release as directed by the person who requested the release within ten (10) business days after receipt of such payment.
